During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. It intensifies the massage and most people find it even more relaxing.
Hot massage stones are heated to between 130 and 145 degrees. Stone at this degree of heat SHOULD NEVER BE PLACED AND LEFT ON THE BODY.

Sometimes, cold stones are also used during a hot stone massage. Cold stones may be used after hot stones to calm any engorged blood vessels and to soothe the skin.
Adding Hot stones to your Therapeutic Massage is one of the best add-ons you can do. The stones heat up the muscles and tension areas to allow the therapist to more easily and effectively loosen those areas and bring relief of the Stress knots and tight tension filled muscles.
It is best to add 15 minutes to your service if you add Hot stones as they do take up a little time manuvering them through-out the massage.
